Florence is hardly a secret, yet it seems underestimated. It is highly visited and tour groups crowd the city, but few give it the time it deserves. It is important to give Florence time and spend it in the most leisurely way as possible. Otherwise the sights are so overwhelming that they will all blend together into an incomprehensible mess.
It is a city to return to over and over again. A traveler and native Florentine alike will miss the view of the unique and spectacular Duomo unless you return regularly.
